Publications John has been published in several legal reference volumes including the Encyclopedia of the Supreme Court and the American Encyclopedia of Civil Liberties.

For approximately seven years John served as an official court reporter in the North Carolina Superior Court system.  John primarily practices in the areas of criminal law, domestic law, and the preparation of wills and powers of attorney. John has a Bachelor of Science in Law Studies with Honors from Davenport College in Kalamazoo, Michigan; Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University; and a Master of Public Administration from North Carolina State University.
